My client, a reputable Investment Bank, is looking to hire Lead Business Analyst to join their Front Office Fixed Income Trade Capture division in London focussing on the Rates space. You will join a new programme where they are integrating a legacy system with new, innovative functionality from a new strategic build. You will help lead the analysis for this new programme which is expected to be a multi-year initiative incorporating more products after Rates.

Responsibilities include:

  • Getting in right at the start of the programme and working closely with front office teams to understand workflows and assess existing infrastructure.
  • Producing comprehensive documentation gathered from senior stakeholders and translated in functional requirements for technology teams.
  • Guide the analysis on the re-architecture of the Rates technical landscape
  • Going through lots of legacy SQL code by reviewing it, simplifying the results, cleaning it up and then streamlining it
  • Understanding how existing data structures are created and putting together a picture of why the existing data looks the way it does

To be right for this role, you must have a proven track record in the following:

  • Experience in working as a Lead BA on a long-term project on another Fixed Income Rates platform.
  • You will need to demonstrate a track record of being a BA/PM on a Rates-driven project from inception to post-implementation
  • Clear record of longevity in current/previous roles
  • Strong knowledge of Rates products (SWAPS, Bonds, IRDs etc)
  • Excellent requirements gathering experience at another Investment Bank.
  • Strong stakeholder management experience
  • Good, solid experience working on projects focussed on front office trading platforms.
  • Strong knowledge around broker flows/front office workflows.

The expectation will be for this person to be in the office (London) two-three days a week. The salary will range between £90,000-£120,000.
