Security Engineer - Financial Services - London (Hybrid)

My client, a leader in their field are currently building out their security function and are looking for an engineer join a small team of 3 which will work across the business to secure their IT infrastructure.

You'll draw on your experience in security engineering and your deep understanding of security best practices to design and implement effective security measures including remediating vulnerabilities, implementing security controls, and swiftly responding to security incidents.

You will need:

• Previous experience in SOC and understanding of security best practices
• A DevSecOps approach with hands on security automation tool experience
• Experience with EDR/XDR, SIEM
• Understanding of incident response frameworks and methodologies
• Knowledge of cloud security
• Proficiency with Linux and scripting languages (preferably Python, bash)
• Ability to collaborate and communicate with various different teams
